"Structural and optical properies evaluation of NIR up-converting Er3+ doped ZnTiO3-Zn2TiO4 nanocomposite phosphor"

NIR up-converting Er3+ doped ZnTiO3-Zn2TiO4 nanocomposite phosphor. ZnTiO3-Zn2TiO4 doped with 2 mol% Er3+ was synthesized via solid state reaction method. The X-ray diffractometer (XRD) confirmed the crystallization of both the hexagonal ZnTiO3 and cubic spinel Zn2TiO4 phases. The phosphors were excited in the near-infrared (NIR) region with a wavelength of 980 nm diode laser, and the corresponding up-conversion emission lines were observed in the visible range at 543, 553, 650 – 670 nm, which correspond to 2H11/2, 4S1/2→ 4I15/2 and 4F9/2→ 4I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions, respectively.
