5th International Conference on Optics, Photonics and their Applications
ICOPA’5 - 26-28 November 2023 | Algiers, Algeria
This fifth conference is motivated by the increasing number of applications of optics and photonics in a wide range of areas such as optical telecommunications, optical diagnostic in health and industry, detection of pollutants, etc. Many of these applications have been developed thanks to the achievement of laser sources. Coherent sources have undergone significant advances with the emergence of ultra-short pulse lasers in a wide range of wavelengths. Photonics has also benefited from nanotechnologies which open new emerging fields as nanophotonics and nano optics.
After the COVID period, this edition of ICOPA will be organized in Algiers, whereas the last one was in Bordeaux (France) in 2016. The conference aims to gather scientists from all around the world to share their experience and results on optics and photonics. Students and young researchers are particularly invited to participate to the conference with reduced registration fees. It is also intended to favour fruitful discussions and to arouse scientific collaborations.
