35th European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy

hosted by the University of Jyväskylä, Central Finland
14-17 August, 2023

The congress organisers and the International Advisory Board have been carefully following the COVID-19 outbreak and the societal and economical consequences on organisation, travel and participatory activities. Even though the ever constant presence of COVID-19, and unrest and  war in Ukraine, the congress is finally taking place on-site after three years of waiting and postponing the congress.

The city of Jyväskylä is situated in Central Finland, surrounded by lakes and forests. The city has a population of about 130 000 and the presence of almost 16 000 students make the city a dynamic and youthful city. Jyväskylä is well connected with all major cities in Finland. Connections with the capital city Helsinki by flights, fast trains and buses makes Jyväskylä easily reachable for foreign visitors.

The conference is organized at the Jyväskylä University Mattilanniemi campus, Agora building, which provide beautiful natural setting for the conference. The conference venue is close to the city center and easily accessed by taxi, local bus or even by foot from the city center. All scientific and poster sessions are organized at this venue.

We welcome all colleagues, researchers and educators working in the field of molecular spectroscopy (methodology, theory, applications and imaging) to join this biennial international conference for interesting and entertaining discussions and experiences.

INVITED:

Maurizio Ferrari (Trento, IT) "Glass photonics: From nanoceramics to flexible photonics"
